2019 Honda Activa 125 BS-6 Engine Specs And Dimensions Revealed

Ahead of its launch this month, the engine specs and dimensions of 2019 Honda Activa 125 BS-6 have been leaked. It will get new features and updated styling

In June this year, Honda unveiled the Activa 125 BS-6 version which came with many new features and some styling updates as well. It will be launched later this month and the prices will be revealed then as well.

Bikedekho has revealed the engine specs of the Activa 125 BS-6. It continues with the same 124.6cc air-cooled engine, but now produces 8.17 BHP, slightly lesser than the earlier 8.51 BHP. The torque is unknown as of now.

The dimensions of the scooter have also been leaked, and it is 36mm longer, 3mm wider and 19mm taller than the BS-4 version. The wheelbase remains the same at 1260mm long.

The updated Activa 125 will come in three variants – Front Disc/Alloy, Drum Brakes/Alloy and Drum Brakes/Metal. It continues with the same telescopic forks at the front and new 3-step adjustable pre-load monoshock at the back.

New features onboard include a revised instrument cluster with riding range and average fuel consumption, external fuel filler cap, LED headlamps, LED position lamps, but missing out on the charging port.

Honda has also equipped the Activa 125 BS-6 with intelligent start-stop system, which turns of the engine if idle for more than 5 seconds. This helps in saving the mileage by up to 15-20%.

Cosmetic upgrades include refreshed headlamp styling, revised tail portion, chrome detailing on the front apron and side fender and there might be new colour options available as well.

With all these updates, the prices of the BS-6 version will be higher by Rs 6,000-7,000. Currently, it is priced starting from Rs 60,000 going up to Rs 65,00 (ex-showroom).
