After Benelli’s split with DSK Motowheels, this has been the first new launch. Earlier this month, Benelli relaunched the TNT 300, 302R and TNT 600i in India.
Last month, Benelli TRK 502 was spotted testing on the Indian roads. After that, no spy spots surfaced online. Both the ADV motorcycles will be the first ones from Benelli’s future lineup, which includes 11 motorcycles.
Based on the recent market trends, the demand touring and ADV motorcycles has increased. The past 2 years have seen many ADV launches. Benelli believes that TRK 502 and 502X will help them in achieving better sales.

They use a 500cc parallel-twin cylinder motorcycle that produces 47 BHP and 45 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
For suspension purposes, Benelli TRK 502 and TRK 502X sport 50mm upside down forks at the front and adjustable rear mono-shocks. A 320mm front disc brake and a 260mm rear disc brake help in braking duties.
Features onboard will include digi-analogue instrument console, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps and a tall windscreen.
Benelli TRK 502 comes with 17-inch road tires at both the ends. TRK 502X comes with 19-inch tires at the front and 17-inchers at the rear. 502X uses off-road spec tires.

We expect the bikes to be priced around Rs 5-6 Lakhs (ex-showroom). At this highly competitive price, it stays close to the V-Strom and Kawasaki Versys-X 650. If the price is nearing 5 Lakhs, then it might also receive competition from KTM 390 Adventure.
Benelli plans to launch 11 new models in the Indian market, including these two ADV motorcycles. The lineup includes naked street bikes, roadsters, cruisers and fully faired sportsbikes.
