What’s the first image that comes to your mind when you imagine a Hindu bride on her wedding day? In most probability, you would have thought up of young girl dressed in a lehenga and, maybe, tears rolling down her eyes as she leaves her family to become a part of the groom’s family. Well, this is exactly what many of us have been seeing our entire lives. We are pretty used to the conventional bridal entrances and send-offs. However, things have been changing pretty rapidly of late.

Bride Rides Royal Enfield Bullet to Her Wedding
The fairer sex of the country has risen to challenge many societal norms that have been suppressing the women of this country for a long while now. The case in point here is a bride that decided to ride her Royal Enfield Bullet to the wedding venue. A video of the young woman clad in a heavy lehenga riding her motorcycle to her own wedding went viral recently. Of course, her unconventional way of reaching the venue surprised many. Initially shared on Instagram, the video has garnered over a million views and almost a lakh likes. Many commented on her style and her decision to break the age-old societal norms.
“Aapne proof kia ki ldkiya sb kuch kr skti h,” a user commented. “That’s a sassy bride right there,” another user quipped. “Kya baat hai. zabardast entry,” another commented.

Bride Drives her Husband to In-Laws
Earlier, another video that went viral showed a bride driving her husband to her in-laws on the day of her vidaai. The video showed one Shena, draped in a traditional lehenga, driving a car with her husband in the passenger seat. Sneha says she informed her husband about the idea a few weeks before the wedding but she didn’t expect him to agree to her plan.

“So we had spoken about it weeks ago, and I told Saugat I’ll do this, he laughed and said yeah of course that sounds awesome and it really will be something! After the wedding, I genuinely forgot about it and was ready to sit in the car. But Saugat commanded me to drive. He just said sit and drive. I was stunned and excited at the same time,” she commented.
