BS6 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Loses Some Features – Details

Leaked documents reveal that Hyundai has deleted some features from the BS6 Grand i10 Nios. Also, certain changes have been made to the variants.

Hyundai successfully commenced the bookings for the BS6 Grand i10 Nios a couple of days back. The updated units have started reaching dealerships and the bookings for that have also commenced. A leaked document shows that there are some changes made too.

BS6 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios loses some features in every variant. Also, a couple of new variants have been added, including Asta AMT, Magna CNG, Sportz CNG and Sportz Diesel as well. AMT earlier came only on Magna and Sportz trims.

As per this document, the base Era variant loses Seat Pre-tensioners. The Magna, Sportz and Asta variant lose out on the glossy black D-Pillar. The latter two additionally miss out on USB Charger and Arkamys Sound System as well.

All these features have been removed to keep the prices in control. With the introduction of BS6 engines, the prices will increase by a considerable margin. Also, the addition of AMT on the top-spec trim will further increase the price range.

Hyundai recently launched the BS6 Grand i10 Nios with a Turbo petrol engine. It gets a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo motor that produces 100 PS and 172 Nm of peak torque. It will be available in Sportz and Sportz Dual Tone variants only, with three colour options of Polar White, Fiery Red (Only DT) and Aqua Teal (Only Single Tone).

The Turbo variant will get all-black interiors with red inserts on dual-tone variants. Also, the Turbo emblem will be put on the front grille and tailgate. Other than that, there would be no changes made to the features list and styling.

Other engine options include a 1.2 Litre petrol engine and a 1.2 Litre diesel engine. The petrol motor produces 83 PS and 113 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine produces 74 BHP and 186 Nm of peak torque. 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT are offered with both the engines.
