Tata has silently increased the power figures of BS6 Nexon Petrol. The SUV gets a 1.2 Litre three-cylinder turbocharged Revotron petrol engine.
BS6 Tata Nexon Petrol gets a minor power bump now. The compact SUV now produces 120 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque from its 1.2 Litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol motor. The prices have been unchanged with this upgrade.
Earlier, the Nexon produced 110 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque. Now, the BS6 Tata Nexon Petrol is the most powerful compact SUV. It produces around 3 PS more than Venue Turbo Petrol and around 5 BHP more than XUV300 Petrol.
Nexon’s 1.5 Litre four-cylinder diesel engine produces 110 PS and 260 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines come paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed AMT. Another good thing about Nexon petrol is that its base variants also produce 120 PS unlike the case with Venue.
Changes on the BS6 Tata Nexon include refreshed front grille, restyled front and rear bumpers, new and lighter alloy wheels, new headlamps and a slightly raised bonnet. It also comes in new dual-tone colour options now.
Inside the cabin, there are some minor tweaks like a new flat-bottom steering wheel, semi-digital instrument console, new seat upholstery design and dual-tone treatment for the dashboard. The space inside the cabin is left unaltered.
New features onboard include an electric sunroof, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps and a revised Harmon Kardon touchscreen infotainment system. All these features are only available on the new top-spec XZ+(O) variant.
The BS6 price list of Tata Nexon starts off at Rs 6.95 Lakhs up to Rs 11.20 Lakhs for the petrol and Rs 8.45 Lakhs to Rs 12.70 Lakhs (all prices ex-showroom) for the diesel variants. Now, most of the competitors of Nexon are BS6 compliant, including Vitara Brezza Petrol, Venue, EcoSport and XUV300 Petrol.
