How Do Thieves Steal Cars?
All modern cars come with electronic controls for almost everything. These thieves have gotten smarter with time and take advantage of that. They use a relay that can synchronise electronic signals to match with the car’s ECU and the key fob. Using this, the cars get unlocked and the driver can even drive it away since the car thinks that the signals are authentic. Hence, one must park their cars in safe areas, install CCTV in the vicinity or install a GPS to track the location of cars. What do you think about the car hijacking culture in South Africa?
