Citroen, a 100-year-old French car maker is gearing up for their first launch in the Indian market by launching, C5 Aircross. The brand recently released a TVC which talked about their plans and what they will offer considering the market area.

Furthermore, Citroen has joined with the CK Birla group to set up manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu. The brand has great plans of digitising the way you buy your car to maintaining your car at home, like a 24X7 service. With their initiatives, they plan to make the car buying process a click away with just your smartphone or any digital device.

Citroen C5 Aircross Features

The company will target a section of buyers who are looking to experience a comfort class SUV. Some features like panoramic sunroof wireless charging, keyless entry and push-button start, Highway driver assist, Citroen connect navigation, hill hold assist are some which can be expected from the SUV.

Exteriors

The exteriors of the car feature a split design headlamp design and a larger grille which makes the car look big. The car is expected to get LED Headlamps and LED DRL’s. The SUV will get body cladding all over and roof rail to give an aggressive looking appearance.

Transmission

The car is expected to come with EAT8 automatic transmission. We can expect the power output to be in between 130hp and 174hp. Citroen C5 Aircross is a two-wheel drive SUV and will come up with progressive hydraulic cushion suspension which makes your car ride a breeze.

Competition

Currently, the brand plans to launch a new model every year, between 2021 – 2023 after their first product is launched. Citroen C5 Aircross will be a made in India SUV which will mostly compete with the likes of Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, MG Hector and Mahindra XUV500.

The TVC also invites dealers across India to join hands and be part of the group. The SUV will likely to be launched with BS-VI emission norms.
