The facelift for the Ford Endeavour is going to get minor cosmetic tweaks and a couple of updates or additions to its equipment list.
The current iteration of the Ford Endeavour, which was launched in India back in 2016, is in line to receive its mid-life update. The updated version of the premium off-roader is already on sale in select international markets. Though India receives this update a little late, but it is in line with the recent activity in its segment.
For Endeavour, the main competition has always been with the Toyota Fortuner. However, with the launch of the Mahindra Alturas and also the facelifted Isuzu MU-X, the competition just got a little bit more fierce. So far there has been no official statement from Ford regarding the launch of the updated iteration of the Endeavour in the Indian market.
However, a recently published report in Autocar India states that the Ford Endeavour facelift is going to launch in India on the 22nd of Fenruary this year.
As we mid-life update for the Endeavour is already on sale in the international markets, we are already aware of some of the basic changes that this vehicle is going to receive. For instance, in terms of its exterior design, apart from some minor updates, the rest the aesthetics will the remains the same as before.
The Ford Endeavour facelift comes with a new front grille, a new design for the front and rear bumpers, new detailing in the headlamps along with new 20-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Apart from this, the rest of the SUV remains identical to the version which it will replace.
Just like the exterior design, the cabin of the Ford Endeavour facelift also features minimalistic updates. It is going to get minor tweaks on the dashboard, addition of soft-touch materials, back-lit buttons along with the Ford’s SYNC3 infotainment system which supports Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
For the time being, till the BS-VI emission regulations kick-in, the Endeavour will continue with the same 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre diesel engine options. Closer to the date, it is likely to shift to its BS-Vi complaint 2.0-litre diesel engine. This new engine is going to get a 10-speed automatic transmission.
