Hero Xpulse 200T and Xtreme 200S Discontinued

While there has not been any reason for this decision, it looks like there are enough products in the lineup to fill the void

The Hero Xpulse 200T and Xtreme 200S have been discontinued in our market. Note that these two are slightly more adventurous models in comparison to other bikes. The 200T was introduced as the road-friendly iteration of the capable Xpulse. On the other hand, the Xtreme 200S is a fully faired guise of the Xtreme 200R. Both these were struggling a bit on the sales charts which could be the major reason for discontinuation. Let us delve into the details here.

Hero Xpulse 200T and Xtreme 200S Discontinued

The Hero Xpulse 200T comes with a large 17-inch wheel with off-roading tyres making it a perfect companion for off-tarmac journeys. Going forward, we will most likely see the new Xpulse 210 which was also spotted testing a few weeks ago. On the other hand, the Xtreme 200S boasts a totally different styling, as well as a distinct headlamp cluster with semi-fairing. While there has not been a definitive reason for this step, dwindling sales can be the most likely contributor.

Note that even though the real-life applications of these two are unique, they both carry the same 200-cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which is capable of generating 18.8 hp @8,500 RPM and 17.3 Nm @6,500 RPM of peak power and torque, respectively. This mill pairs with a 5-speed transmission. Apart from that, the list of amenities is decent too with things like a USB charger, gear shift indicator, Bluetooth connectivity, side stand warning, etc. The starting price of the 200T was Rs 1.30 lakh, while the 200S retailed for Rs 1.41 lakh, ex-showroom.

My View

The upcoming 2025 is shaping up to be a great year for Hero MotoCorp. There are plenty of new models that are about to go on sale. This incorporates products like Karizma 250, Xtreme 250, Xpulse 210, Mavrick 440 with USD forks, Mavrick 440-based scrambler, and more. Clearly, Hero fans can rejoice as exciting times lie ahead. I shall keep an eye out for more details in this regard.
