In fact, it will only give the customers a wide array of options to choose from. The video shows the Amaze on the roads without any camouflaging. At this time, CNG vehicles seem to be the only way out for the car owners suffering under the ridiculous fuel prices. The electrification for the mass market is still some time away for us. The Government is also focussing on alternate fuels like CNG and Ethanol-blended petrol. Hence, the push for such kinds of powertrains has been constant. There are hardly any reasons to justify not to go for CNG vehicles at this point in time.

Expected Specs

Currently, the Amaze comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine making 88 hp and 110 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. The diesel-powered Amaze is good for 98 hp and 200 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. These engines could be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. In the CNG guise, there will be a decline in these power and torque figures. That is typically the case with all the CNG versions. The prices of the regular Amaze range between Rs 6.22 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The CNG variants will also range somewhere in this region.
