If speculations are anything to go by, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI)ย will soon launch a fully-faired CB Hornet 160R. Regulars here would know HMSI plans to launch four new products this fiscal. While three of these could be the XRE 300, PCX 150 and Africa Twin, the fourth model could be the Honda CB Hornet 160R Full Fairing model. Just like the Hornet rivals the Suzuki Gixxer 155, the upcoming Honda motorcycle will lock horns with the Suzuki Gixxer SF. The Honda CB Hornet 160R Full Fairing model is likely to launch by March next year. The upcoming bike will share its engine with the Hornet 160R. This means the fully-faired model will get aย 162.71cc single-cylinder engine that outputs a max. power of 15.04 BHP @ 8500 RPM and a peak torque of 14.76 nm @ 6500 rpm. The engine will come along with a 5-speed Manual Gearbox. Features list will be the same as that of the 160R and will include a fat rear tyre and an all-digital speedometer.
It may be noted that HMSI is currently surrounded by various speculations. In a recent development, the manufacturer removed pages of the CBR 150R and the CBR 250R from its website. Rumours now abound that the manufacturer could be planning to bring the new 2017 models to our market. Nothing seems to be clear at the moment.
