The MG Cyberster will mark a new chapter in the sports electric car space
In this latest video clip, we get a peek inside the India-bound MG Cyberster electric sports car. MG announced it a couple of years ago but we will get the first glimpses of the curvaceous sports EV in the flesh in January 2025. In today’s age where EVs are all about range and efficiency, MG decided to cater to the driving enthusiasts who want a stunning convertible sports car. That is a unique approach. Hence, it will be intriguing to see how many buyers the British carmaker is able to attract.

The specifics of this case stem from ajwaclassicmotors on Instagram. This case stems from Pakistan where the electric sports car was recently launched at the 2024 Pakistan Auto Show. Hence, we are able to get a clear look at the interior of this British beauty. As soon as the driver sits inside the car with the keys, the car becomes active. Once you press the brake pedal, the steering wheel becomes free. The overall layout is quite premium and tilted towards the driver. The finish and components certainly ooze a premium feel. Also, the scissor doors add an extra layer of sportiness.
In fact, the main highlights include three screens on offer – a centre driver’s instrument screen and 2 infotainment units on either side. There is another touch panel in the centre console to operate various in-car functions like HVAC and retractable roof, Alcantara leather, powered seats with memory function, leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip for smooth operation, ambient lighting, super-sport mode for racing, premium Bose audio system, manual IRVM, LED cabin lights, sporty seats, frameless windows and more. Clearly, it embodies a premium cabin.

The MG Cyberster carries impressive specifications. This includes a 77 kWh battery pack which powers two electric motors for an all-wheel-drive configuration. The peak power and torque figures are 536 hp and 726 Nm. Furthermore, it offers a range of 585 km on a single charge. Using an AC charger, the battery gets juiced up in just 40 minutes, but with a DC fast charger, it just takes 40 minutes. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration comes up in just 3.2 seconds. This EV measures 4.5 m in length and has a wheelbase of 2.8 m. Let us keep an eye out for the launch next month.
