India's First Toyota Fortuner to Land Cruiser LC300 Conversion

Aftermarket car modification houses often convert old models into their latest iteration but converting a car into a premium luxury vehicle is relatively rare

In this post, we come across India’s first Toyota Fortuner, which has been converted into a Land Cruiser LC300. Fortuner is the most successful 3-row off-roading SUV in the country. It has been a status symbol not just for regular folks, but even for some top celebrities. In recent times, I have reported tons of cases where car shops have been able to transform the appearance of any car, thanks to a strong connection to international markets for spare parts. For now, let us check out the details of this latest instance.

Toyota Fortuner Converted to Land Cruiser LC300

This post stems from HER GARAGE on YouTube. The host has the two converted SUVs with her. She calls the man who created these to learn the details. The man elucidates the entire process of how he made this possible. These days, we know that there are plug-and-play kits available in markets like Taiwan. These kits can be directly installed on any car to make it look like any other car. In our case, the old Fortuner incorporated the readymade kit without the need to cut or bend anything. That is the highlight of this conversion.

At the front, the Fortuner gets a new bonnet, fenders, grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, rugged elements, fog lamps and chrome inserts, which elevate the entire road presence of the SUV. Since this is a pre-made kit, there is barely any difference in comparison to the original Land Cruiser LC300. On the sides, there are colossal 26-inch alloy wheels, which accentuate the side section. The other bits on the sides are almost identical to the original Fortuner.

Finally, the tail end contains a roof-mounted spoiler, new connected LED taillamps and a sporty bumper. Overall, it is immensely difficult to figure out that this is not the real LC300 for anyone. The host even showcases the interior where the Fortuner gets the flat-bottom steering wheel of the LC300. Other bits include carbon fiber elements, GR gear knob, new ambient lights. The man mentions that the price of this conversion is Rs 3.5 lakh. However, as per the demand, the cost can go down in the future.
