Jawa Motorcycles deliveries to begin by the end of March; Sold out till November

The first batch of deliveries of Jawa Motorcycles will commence by March-end. The waiting period for the same has increased, until November 2019.

Classic Legends have confirmed that the first batch of deliveries for the Jawa bikes will commence by the end of March. The bikes were launched back in November 2018.

Meanwhile, Hindu reports that the waiting period for both the Jawa motorcycles has also increased. If you book one today, you have to wait until November, that too depending on the color.

Jawa Forty Two

Currently, Classic Legends is in the process of opening new Jawa dealerships across India. Last week, it opened up in Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi NCR. There are total 9 dealerships in the NCR area.

Total 105 outlets are scheduled to be launched in India. Reports say that the firm plans to open the outlets by February 15, covering over 83 cities in India. It will later enter the Tier-Ii and Tier-III cities.

Jawa and Forty-Two have been launched currently. Both the bikes use a 293cc liquid-cooled engine that puts out 27 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Jawa is priced from Rs 1.64 Lakhs to Rs 1.73 Lakhs. Forty-Two is priced from Rs 1.55 Lakhs to Rs 1.64 Lakhs (prices ex-showroom).

Now, both the bikes are available with an option of dual-channel ABS with front and rear disc brakes. A single disc brake with single-ABS is standard equipment.

Classic Legends has set a target of 90,000 units for both the motorcycles annually. Basically, the brand plans to sell 7,500 units of Jawa Motorcycles for every month.

The total booking amounts have not been declared yet, but Ashish Joshi, CEO of Classic Legends, said that both the motorcycles have a same ratio of bookings.

Jawa Perak is still left to be launched in India. It is a factory custom Bobber motorcycle, which is priced at Rs 1.89 Lakhs (ex-showroom). We expect the bookings for Perak to commence by the end of this year, with a launch early next year.
