All Jawa Motorcycles are sold out till September 2019. The online bookings which started in the first week of November are set to close on 25th December.
Jawa has made a grand comeback in India. Jawa and Jawa 42 have received an overwhelming response from its fans. With that, the demand and bookings for Jawa has increased on a high note.
The bookings for Jawa Motorcycles has increased and the waiting period has gone up to 9 MONTHS! Which means, if you book a Jawa today, you will have to wait till September 2019 to get one.
The first batch of deliveries are set to commence by January-end. Anupam Thareja, founder of Classic legends, tweeted that the company will send out mails to the buyers about their delivery timeline. The company is working towards ramping up the production to reduce the waiting period.
Meanwhile, the online bookings which started in the first week of November, are set to close down. Post Midnight of 25th December, there will be no online bookings. Buyers will have to go down to the dealerships for the booking.
Jawa Motorcycles Dealerships are also opening very soon. As of now, dealerships in Delhi NCR, Pune and Bengaluru have opened up. The first phase of dealership openings will cover Metro cities and Tier-II cities.
Both the motorcycles are up for display at the opened dealerships. The public test rides will soon begin in a day or two.
Just last weekend, Jawa Motorcycles introduced dual-channel ABS on both the motorcycles. Due to public demand, Jawa and Jawa 42 now come with single disc-ABS and double-disc-ABS setup.
While Jawa is literally the revival of the old Jawa with identical styling bits, Jawa 42 is a bit modern version of the new Jawa. The styling cues and finishes are bit distinctive.
Jawa 42 Dual-ABS is priced at Rs 1.63 Lakhs, Rs 8,942 more than the single ABS price. Jawa dual-ABS goes for Rs 1.72 Lakhs, seeing a similar price hike
Both the motorcycles come with a newly developed 293cc liquid-cooled BS-6 engine. It chugs out 27 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine pairs up with a 6-speed gearbox.
Most of the Jawa dealerships are available in the vicinity of Royal Enfield dealerships. Like the earlier times, Jawa Motorcycles take on RE Bullet 350 and Classic 350.
The power figures and mechanicals are somewhat better than Royal Enfield bikes. However, the newly updated Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and Classic 350 ABS cost lower than Jawa bikes.
