Kawasaki ย after successful launch ofย Z250 and ER-6N is now heading towards launching third variant of its motorcycle types -Kawasaki Versys 1000 from its adventure range of motorcycles in India.Kawasaki has started pre-bookings in India for 2015 Versys 1000 at the amount of Rs. 6 Lakh and is expected to be launched soon. Unveiled at EICMA 2014 held few days back, it will be the tenth model of bike from Kawasaki to be launched in India till date.
After the success of ‘Ninjaโ family of super sports and โZโ range of naked street fighters, this bike will mark the entry of itโs โVersysโ family of adventure tourer in India.ย With Kawasaki’s unique engineering process, 2015 Versys 1000 has been face-lifted in design and looks, giving it resemblance to the ‘Ninja’ range. It has been designed to provide refined, reliable and comfortable performance even in rough terrain.

It is draws power by a ย 4-stroke, in-line-four, 1,043cc, liquid-cooled, 16-valve engine that brings out 118 Bhp maximum power at 9000 rpm and 102 Nm of maximum torque at 7700 rpm. It has an aluminium twin-tube frame, giving it light weight. This bike has 6-speed gearbox. This motorcycle getsย 120/70 tyres at the front and 180/55 tyres at the rear. It gets 300 mm front petal discs along with 4-piston calipers for brake feel and strong stopping power. Just like the Ninja 1000, the 2015 Versys 1000 gets an adjustable windshield which can be adjusted without any tools. It ย hasย front dual headlamps giving the bike an edgy and sharper body panel.This motorcycleย could be a very good tourer in India with upright handle position and wide handle bars.
Reports state that this motorcycle will be available from end of 2015. It will be sold as a CBU( Completely Build Unit) in India. It will available at an expected price range ofย Rs. 12 to 15 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The competitors of the adventure motorcycle in the similar price range include Suzuki V-Strom andย Triumph Tiger 800 XC.
