A video recently shot in Guwahati shows a Maruti A-Star stopping to provide a traffic cop performing duty in heavy downpour with an umbrella
It’s not uncommon to see policemen often going out of their way to help citizens. However, it’s seldom that we come across instances wherein civilians make a small effort to make life a tad easier for an on-duty officer. A video from Guwahati, though, shows a heartwarming incident of a trio of ladies travelling in a Maruti A-Star stopping to help the sincere policeman by offering him an umbrella.

The sweet gesture by the travellers in the Maruti A-Star was captured by another driver who was waiting for his chance to cross the intersection. The traffic cop performing his duty diligently in spite of the harsh weather has been identified as one Lakhyajit Handique. It must be noted that the heavy downpour in Guwahati last weekend threw everyone off guard. But in spite of not being prepared for the harsh weather, Handique continued performing his duty sincerely, thereby helping motorists make their way through what looks like a major intersection.
On the other hand, the three occupants of the Maruti A-Star have been identified as Manikankana Bora, Sabina Akhtar, and Swabnam Amin. The three ladies provided the traffic cop with an umbrella after they saw him performing his duty in heavy downpour. The ladies were travelling from Sonapur.

The occupants of this Maruti A-Star have truly shown the true meaning of humanity by providing the umbrella to a traffic constable who continued performing his duty in spite of the sudden heavy downpour. We’re truly impressed by this gesture of the three ladies and wish that all civilians come forward in a similar fashion to help such sincere policemen perform their duty sincerely.
