2019 Mahindra TUV300 Rear

Mahindra TUV300 compact SUV is going to receive a mid-cycle facelift soon. The updated SUV has been spotted testing again under heavy camouflage.

2019 Mahindra TUV300 has been spied testing again under heavy camouflage, exposing the side and rear portion, with some details of the interior of the compact SUV.

The mid-cycle facelift will give TUV300 some minor styling revisions and possibly new colour options. The overall boxy-SUV design and silhouette will remain unchanged.

On the front, the Mahindra TUV300 will get updated headlamps, new LED DRLs, chrome-detailed grille and a slightly revised bumper. The alloy wheels on the test mule are same as the current one. However, on the earlier spotted mule, the C-SUV had a different set of alloy wheels.

The side portion sees a new set of roof rails. At the rear, it gets smoked glass tail lamps and a spare wheel mounted on the rear door. The rear bumpers have also been redesigned a bit.

The engine specifications will remain the same. Mahindra TUV300 will continue with the 1.5 Litre diesel engine, that is tuned to deliver 100 BHP and 240 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an option of AMT.

Although, speculations suggest that TUV300 might use the 1.2 Litre Turbo petrol mill from XUV300. The petrol engine produces 100 BHP and 150 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

As the safety norms are kicking in from April 2019, we expect the updated TUV300 to be equipped with dual-airbags, ABS and Electronic Braking Distribution (EBD) as standard fitment across all the variants.

Features onboard include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Navigation and Bluetooth integration, Reverse parking sensors with a camera, Steering mounted audio controls, electric ORVMs and more.

With the new update, we expect the TUV300 to see a marginal price hike. Currently, it is priced starting from Rs 8.39 Lakhs going up to Rs 11.04 Lakhs (ex-showroom prices).
