After the recent launch of the Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e, we are getting reports of the XEV 7e via leaked images
The Mahindra XEV 7e (XUV700 EV) has been spotted in pics which were filed for trademark by the Indian auto giant. We recently saw Mahindra announce two electric sub-brands – XEV and BE. These will utilize Mahindra’s scalable and modular INGLO architecture. This platform will spawn a few other Mahindra EVs within the next couple of years. In fact, these EVs will be designed for global markets. Clearly, Mahindra is aiming to go international and open a different chapter in its journey. For now, let us take a look at the details of this case.
Mahindra XEV 7e (XUV700 EV) Pics Leaked
The images showcase the front and side sections of the electric SUV. Note that even the recently launched XEV 9e is based on the XUV700. However, it contains the sloping roofline which results in that coupe silhouette. That is where the XEV 7e differs. It carries on almost the identical exterior styling as its ICE counterpart. This is particularly apparent from the side profile with that curved window line towards the rear. The side section even contains dual-tone alloy wheels. At the front, it gets a similar design pattern as the XEV 9e with a full-width LED light bar connecting the LED DRLs on either side. The shark LED headlamps are located on the extreme edges. At the centre, it gets a sealed-off section with a skid plate underneath the bumper.
The other leaked images confirm a 3-row layout to accommodate 6/7 passengers unlike the XEV 9e. However, I believe the biggest change on the inside is the availability of the triple display layout – one for the driver’s instrument cluster, one for infotainment and one for the passenger’s entertainment. This is something we really appreciated in the XEV 9e. Moreover, the two-spoke steering wheel has illumination in the centre and the overall dashboard layout is similar to the XEV 9e. Not mention, there will be no shortage of high-tech amenities to pamper the occupants. Hence, the cabin boasts a premium quotient.
Specs
It will be interesting to see the exact powertrain options on offer on the Mahindra XEV 7e. Nevertheless, the leaked images display drive modes like “Snow” along with a dual-motor layout which would inform the AWD configuration. Note that Mahindra has not announced it for the XEV 9e or BE 6e yet. In any case, that will take the power figures in the vicinity of 350 hp. We shall keep an eye out for more details as the launch nears.
