With the Auto Industry facing a slowdown, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso managed to grab more than 10,000 Bookings since its launch
It looks like that Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is getting popular among the Indian buyers with its SUV like stance. Now, new reports have come out about the bookings of the Maruti S-Presso that it has already crossed 10,000 mark in just 10 days.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso carries a modern design and a tall upright boxy design explains as to why the bookings are high when Auto Industry is failing to perform good. Several manufacturers have been hit with low sales.
Maruti S-Presso directly competes with the likes of the Renault Kwid. Mind you, the latter was launched with a facelift a day after the S-Presso launch. And in my vision, the facelifted Kwid looks far better than its competition.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is available in a 1.0-litre, three cylinder, BS6 compliant petrol engine. It produces 68 bhp with a peak torque of 91 Nm. Transmission is taken care by a 5-speed manual gearbox and an option of AMT too.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso comes in a total of four trim options – STD, LXI, VXI and VXI+. It is the VXI and VXI+ trim that comes with an option of a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
It is the top trims of the Maruti S-Presso which gets most of the features. It includes a 7.0-inch Smart Play infotainment system. This supports connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other features like fully digital instrument cluster, remote keyless entry, power windows, steering mounted control and voice controls are some of the features this entry level hatchback gets. Safety features like a diver side airbag, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution are also present along with reverse parking sensors.
The ARAI certified fuel economy stands out at 21.7 kmpl for the VXI AND VXI+ trims and 21.4 for the first two base models. The reason why the fuel economy of S-Presso is lower than the Kwid it because of the fact that it runs on the BS6 compliant engine while the Kwid still gets BS4 compliant.
The hatchback comes in six colour options – Solid Sizzle Orange, Pearl Starry Blue, Superior White, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey and Metallic Silky Silver. The price of the hatchback starts at Rs 3.69 Lakh for the base trim and top model fetches up to Rs 4.91 Lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
