Maruti Suzuki XL6 Flares Up With Over 2000 Sales Unit For August

Unique features on the Maruti XL6 include cruise control, 6 captain row seats, LED Headlamps and LED DRLs.

Maruti Suzuki introduced a beefier version of the Ertiga, also called as the XL6. The highlight of the Maruti XL6 is the 6-seat configuration and the updated styling and with this, the MPV has managed to garner about 2,356 sales unit for August.

The ruggedly looking Maruti Suzuki XL6 sales for August highly depends on the fresh styling and the availability of captain seats in the middle row. Also, the MPV now looks more premium than ever.

When compared to the regular Ertiga, the XL6 is very different in terms of powertrain, styling and interior changes. The latter is only available in a BS6 compliant 1.5L petrol engine only. This produces a total of 104 bhp and a peak torque of 138 Nm. Transmission option sticks to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed torque converter unit.

The cabin inside takes you through an all-black theme which now looks more premium than the dual-tone colour scheme found in the Ertiga. The XL6 gets captain row seats for all three rows and the Ertiga gets bench row for the middle and third row.

The main difference is that the XL6 looks much-botched up and a bit premium than the regular one. You get a completely new front honeycomb grille with a two-slat chrome grille, revised headlamps and DRLS.

The plastic body cladding comes around the entire MPV. It continues with the same alloy wheels from the regular model but gets a blacked-out treatment. The tail portion looks the same with the new XL6 badging. Lastly, to complete the sporty look, you also get aluminium faux skid plates and roof rails.

Also, the addition of new features on the Maruti XL6 which makes it a unique selling than the Ertiga. It comes with Cruise Control, LED reflector headlamps, LED DRLs and 6 Individual captain seats.

The XL6 is priced at a premium over the regular Ertiga and the base price stands at Rs 9.8 lakh and the top model fetches you around for Rs 11.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
