MG Motors stepped up the game by unveiling its first premium mid-size SUV, Hector, on May 15. The car features some segment features likes i-SMART technology and a large touchscreen infotainment system. But MG Motors is not stopping just after Hector as it plans to introduce some more cars ready for the Indian Market.
MG Motors have just begun their game in the Indian market and they have already lined up four SUVs for the Indian market that will go on sale in just 18 months. Let’s have a clear look at the upcoming cars from the British manufacturer.
Last month MG announced that after Hector, they will bring their electric SUV to the Indian market later this year. Recently a camouflaged test mule of eZS was spotted on Indian roads which looks similar to the production model ZS SUV.
The car gets features like large panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system with i-SMART technology already seen on the Hector. The SUV is available in China and sports a 150 bhp electric motor that offers a driving range of 331 km on a single charge. Although it is not confirmed if the same motor will be coming to India.

Based on the Baojun 530 that is already launched in China, it shares the same platform as the 5-seater Hector. The dimensions of the car and wheelbase will be the same for both 5 and 7-seater SUVs.
The engine specifications for the three-row SUV will remain the identical and gets 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 48-V mild hybrid system and an FCA sourced turbocharged 2.0-litre diesel engine.
Expect the car to come after April 2020 with new BS-VI engine. The prices for the car will go upwards with the addition of third-row seats and new BS-VI compliance petrol and diesel engine. It will rival with the upcoming Tata Buzzard (7-seater Harrier), Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass.
It is the humoungous SUV from MG Motors which will rival Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturus and Isuzu MU-X. The car measures 5,005mm in length, 1932mm width, 1875mm height and a wheelbase of 2950mm thus reflecting a spacious cabin than its competition.

The Indian version of the SUV is expected to come in a diesel engine which is a popular choice in the SUV segment. It is expected to be priced between Rs 30 lakh – Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Seems like the focus for MG Motors is solely on the SUV for the next 18 months and here is another SUV from the manufacturer. However, this is a baby SUV, which measures 4,220mm in length, 1740mm in width and stands tall at 1616mm height.
The cabin of Baojun 510 is inspired by MG Hector and offers two-tone interiors.
