Jaguar Launches the Locally Manufactured XF at Rs. 47.50 lakh in India

Jaguar Land Rover India launched the new XF in India in September 2016 at a starting price of Rs. 49.50 lakh. Now, JLR has commenced local assembly of the XF in India bringing the price down to Rs. 47.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The all-new XF gets new a new Ingenium 2.0 L Diesel engine, new interiors, and new exteriors. It is also lighter than the model it replaces. New 2016 Jaguar XF Price in India

The base Pure trim, powered by the new 2.0 L Ingenium diesel engine, is priced at Rs. 47.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), down from the initial launch price of Rs. 49.50 lakh. While the top-spec Portfolio trim now costs Rs. 60.50 lakh. Jaguar XF Petrol is available only in the Prestige and Portfolio trims. They cost Rs. 52.50 lakh and Rs. 59.50 lakh respectively. Bookings are open across all 24 Jaguar Land Rover dealerships in India. Customers can also book the all-new XF online via www.findmeacar.in.

New 2016 Jaguar XF India – Specifications

The highlight of the Jaguar XF’s specifications is the 2.0 L Diesel belonging to the new Ingenium family of engines. In India, the new XF is the first car to feature an engine from this particular series. It churns out 179 PS of peak power and 430 Nm of peak torque. Petrol variants of the XE get a 2.0 L engine that makes 241 PS and 340 Nm. In both cases, transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The XF is underpinned by Jaguar’s Lightweight Aluminium Architecture. It is now 28 percent stiffer and lighter by 190 kilogrammes.

New 2016 Jaguar XF India – Exterior and Interior Design Review

The new XF follows Jaguar’s latest design language. It builds on the overall shape and design elements of the model it replaces. The headlamps are full LED units featuring Jaguar’s signature ‘J’ blade LED daytime running lights. There’s a chrome mesh grille up front and some chrome embellishments in the front bumper. At the back, the new XF gets distinctive tail lamps featuring double roundel and intersecting horizontal LED detail. Based on the trim, the XE gets either 17-inch or 18-inch alloys.

The interiors feature a new design for the dashboard. The centre console bears a strong resemblance to the one we have seen in the XE. The steering wheels is also similar. Like the older model, the AC vents swivel open and the gear selector knob rises up when you turn the car on. In comparison with the previous generation XF, rear ‘knee-room’ has increased by 24 mm and rear ‘leg-room’ has increased by 15 mm.
