Powering the Kwid is a new 1.0 L SCe Petrol mill. Power and torque numbers are 67 BHP and 91 Nm respectively. Maruti Alto K10 and Wagon R share the same 998 cc engine that puts out 67 bhp – 90 Nm. All three cars will come with a 5-speed AMT. The Kwid AMT has a claimed mileage of 24.04 KMPL. Expect up to 21 KMPL in real world conditions. The Kwid Sce is lighter thanย the other two. Hence, it is quicker off the block.

It may not look like it, but the Kwid is actually longer and wider than the other two. It also boasts a massive 300-litre boot space, which is almost double that of the Alto and Wagon R.

Maruti’s Wagon R and Alto K10 have been around for quite some time now. And the Renault Kwid has also become a familiar sight on Indian roads. Kwid’s SUV-inspired exterior seems to have worked in its favour. Wagon R’s boxy dimensions are quite unappealingย but help maximize interior space. The AMT variant of the Kwid looks identical to the 1000cc variant. It features the chequered flag decals on the side.
The cabin of all three cars is a decent place to be in. Renault’s stands apart thanks to the centrally mounted touchscreen and digital speedo. Wagon R gets two gloveboxes. The Renault Kwid’s boot massive 300-litre boot space is almost double that of the Alto K10 and Wagon R.

Renault’s new Kwid AMT has the potential to take customers away from the Alto K10 and Wagon R. While pricing of the Renault Kwid AMT is higher than the Alto K10, it should be noted that it is more feature rich and offers more space as well.
- Price –ย Renault has not been able to undercut the Alto K10 AMT in terms of pricing as it comes only in the top end variant. Wagon R AMT is the most expensive
- Specifications –ย All three cars are powered by 1.0 L petrol engines mated to a 5-speed AMT unit. Alto K10 and Wagon R AMT boast identical specifications.
- Features –ย Wagon R AMT, being the most expensive, is also the most feature rich. Kwid AMT and Alto K10 AMT almost evenly matched.
- Design – It’s really a matter of personal taste. Since all three are familiar faces, most buyers probably have an opinion about their respective designs by now.
