Suzuki V-Strom 650XT ABS Adventure touring bike is now launched in India. The ‘Do-it-all’ motorcycle comes in two color options – Champion Yellow Color No. 2 and Pearl Glacier White. The ADV bike is priced at Rs 7.46 Lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi). It comes as a completely knocked down unit (CKD) in India. It gets a 645cc liquid cooled engine and an ability for the daily commute, long highway stretches, and unexplored rough roads.
Adventure touring bikes are not much found in India. Amongst the handful ADV bikes, the Himalayan is the most successful one. Earlier, the cheapest one was the Hero Impulse, but now it is the Himalayan. In the coming months, Hero Xpulse 200 is all set to India’s cheapest ADV bike.
The Suzuki V-Strom 650XT comes with a four-stroke 645cc liquid cooled V-Twin engine. The engine comes equipped with a fuel-injection technology that gives better performance. It comes with Suzuki Easy Start system, which starts the bike with only one push on the starter button.
For braking, the Suzuki V-Strom 650XT uses lightweight ABS setup with front and rear disc brakes. Moreover, it also gets a three-mode traction control system (2 Mode + OFF Mode), for proper control over difficult road conditions.
It gets an all-new multi-function instrument panel that displays the speedometer, odometer, fuel level, coolant temperature, gear position, battery voltage, and traction control modes. The bike also comes with a 12V DC outlet as a standard feature for charging the phones.
Other features onboard include a large 20-liter fuel tank, high placed LED tail lights and Low RPM assist. Also, it continues with Wire Spoke wheels with Battlax Adventure A40 tubeless tires. In India, the Suzuki V-Strom 650XT also gets saree guard and front number plate holder as standard fitments.
The V-Strom 650 goes against the likes of Kawasaki Versys 650, which has been in the market for quite long now.
