The Tata Tiago compact hatchback is soon going to get an all-new variant added to its line-up. The all-new ZX plus trim, set to launch next month is going to offer a host of new features.
Details regarding the complete list of new features and cosmetic updates of the new Tata Tiago XZ plus variant have leaked on the internet.
It does not come as a surprise that the list has the exact same additions and alterations that we saw on the recently launched update for the Tata Tigor compact sedan.
On the outside, the XZ plus variant of the updated Tata Tiago is going to come with projector headlamp units. These are of the same aesthetic design as we saw on the Tigor facelift.
Nevertheless, in addition to this, the top-end variant of the Tiago will now offer new 15-inch, dual-tone alloy wheels. Furthermore, the headlamp bezel will be blacked out, a chrome strip added to the boot-lid while the ORVMs will now feature welco0me function.
In addition to this, Tata Motors is going to add two new colour schemes as well. These will be Canyon Orange and Ocean Blue.
There will be some minor alterations inside the cabin as well in this new XZ Plus variant. The most prominent is going to be the addition of an all-new touchscreen infotainment system.
It comes with a 7-inch screen and supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Also, with the introduction of the new variant, the XZ will now no longer have the additional 4 tweeters. These will be exclusive for the XZ Plus trim.
Apart from these cosmetic alterations, the update to the Tata Tiago will not feature and major mechanical update. It will continue to come with the same set of petrol as well as diesel engine iterations.
The petrol derivative is going to come with a 1.2-litre, Revotron, 3-cylinder engine. This unit is capable of churning out 83 BHP along with 114 Nm of peak torque.
The diesel engine will continue to be the 1.05-litre, Revotorq, 3-cylinder motor. Its power output will continue to stand around the mark of 68 BHP along with 140 Nm of peak torque.
As standard, both these derivative will come with a 5-speed manual unit as before. While there is also going to be an optional availability of a 5-speed manual unit on the petrol derivative.
With the addition of new features, the prices of the new XZ Plus trim are likely to go up slightly.
