As the festive season is starting, a lot of car launches are scheduled up. Well, Tata Motors has one on October 10. But, it is a big launch for the homegrown automaker. The Tata Tigor Facelift is going to be launched on October 10. We know that from the latest teaser that Tata has shared online. In the first teaser, the projector headlamps of the sedan are showcased. In the second teaser, Tata Motors showcased the LED Crystal inspired tail lamps of the Tigor Facelift. We expect the sedan to be priced starting from Rs 5.15 Lakhs up to Rs 7.4 Lakhs.
From the teaser, we can also see that it gets a new ‘Buzz Blue’ color. It will carry certain new styling elements, making it look different from the pre-facelift version. Also, we expect an upgrade in the feature list, to make it a worthy competitor for Maruti Suzuki Dzire, upcoming Ford Aspire, and Honda Amaze.
Feature upgrades on the Tata Tigor Facelift will include new design for the projector headlamps, new upholstery inside the cabin and a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. We have spied the Tigor Facelift many times with the touchscreen infotainment system.
Barring these upgrades, it might continue with the same exterior and interior design. Also, there would be not many additions to the feature list. With the new infotainment system, it might also get some new features.
Mechanically, the Tata Tigor Facelift remains the same. It continues with the 1.05 Litre Revotorq diesel and the 1.2 Litre Revotron petrol engine. The diesel engine produces 70 BHP of power and 140 Nm of torque. The petrol engine produces around 85 HP power and 114 Nm torque.
The petrol and diesel engine get a 5-speed manual transmission. Just the petrol variant gets an optional AMT gearbox.
Currently, there are two more versions based on the Tigor in the pipeline. Tata Tigor JTP, a performance sedan is reportedly going to launch this year. It comes with Nexon’s 1.2 Litre Revotron turbocharged petrol unit. The petrol engine produces 110 BHP of power.
Also with this, Tata Motors is planning to launch Tigor EV to the Indian public soon. Currently, a fleet of Tigor EV is given only to select government officials. The EV comes with a 3AC Electric motor that produces 114 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque. The total riding range of the EV is around 130 kms.
