Mahindra Scorpio-Based Hummer

The first Hummer on this list comes from a humble Mahindra Scorpio. To be honest, the front section bears a striking resemblance to that of a Hummer. It showcases a new grille, round headlamps, round turn indicators, a more pronounced bonnet, round fog lamps, tow hooks, and body graphics on the bonnet. Transitioning to the sides, you’ll notice sleek 17-inch alloy wheels, hood scoops on the bonnet, robust wheel arches, carbon fibre components, and side steps that enhance ease of entry and exit. However, it’s the rear profile that truly stands out with its unconventional appearance. Indeed, both the side profile and the rear end clearly hint at its original identity. The rear end is distinguished by the Hummer H3 badge, the only aspect reminiscent of the ‘Hummer’ brand.

Mahindra Thar-Based Hummer

The next iteration on this list of the top 5 Hummer replicas in India is based on the old Mahindra Thar. Since Mahindra makes rugged SUVs, its products are primarily seen in such modifications. This lookalike comes from Prathmesh Chaukekar on YouTube. It contains the Hummer replica in a bright red shade. To be perfectly honest, this has to be among the least impressive versions of the lot. The entire body structure is out of place. The car modifier has attempted to create a vague resemblance with unprofessional determination. There are just massive body panels which create a weird contraption.

Mahindra Scorpio-Based Hummer

This third iteration is rather special. The car shop has gone for a limousine appearance with this one. Hence, an entirely new section has been added to the middle of the regular Scorpio. The front and the rear sections bear cosmetic changes, while the wheelbase has been increased tremendously with an added components. To give the Hummer-isque silhouette, the edges are boxy at the front and rear. There are vertical slats on the grille with a fake hood scoop at the front. There are also interesting alterations inside the cabin. In order to complete the limousine vibe, the interior is made to make the passengers comfortable.

Mahindra Scorpio-Based Hummer

This is yet another Hummer replica based on the Mahindra Scorpio. It looks the most relatable to the actual Hummer. At the front, it gets a rugged grille with vertical slats, round headlamps, a butch bonnet, turn indicators on the extreme edges and prominent round fog lamps. In order to enhance the towing capabilities, there are tow hooks on the bumper. It gets elegant alloy wheels with off-roading tyres and colossal wheel arches. However, the tailgate gives away its true identity. There are barely any changes to the rear section. Still, the car modification house has worked hard to register a valid attempt.

Ford Endeavour-Based Hummer

The final version on this list of the top 5 Hummer replicas in India is based on the old Ford Endeavour. The front section features round headlamps equipped with integrated LED DRLs, vertical slats, ‘Hummer’ lettering, a rugged bumper with side cutouts, fog lamps, a skid plate, a hood scoop, and a commanding upright stance. Moving to the sides, the vehicle’s considerable length becomes evident, highlighted by 18-inch alloy wheels and 33-inch tyres geared towards off-roading and enhancing road presence. Convenient side steps facilitate easy passenger ingress and egress. The boxy silhouette dominates both the side and rear profiles, with LED taillamps, a Hummer badge, a 4×4 badge on the rear fender, and a square bumper with reflector lights accentuating the rear.

Notably, the front windshield remains true to the original Hummer design. Inside, minimal changes are observed, with a wrapped dashboard and central control unit. Additionally, it features multi-colour ambient lighting and a 7-seat arrangement. Under the hood lies the formidable 3.2-litre turbo diesel engine from the Endy, coupled with a 4×4 configuration and automatic transmission. Overall, the car shop impresses with its ambitious vision and meticulous execution

Author’s Note

These instances showcase just how professional some aftermarket car modification houses have become. Also, people are going the distance to experience the legendary SUV in some form. Innovative designs like these undoubtedly capture the attention of both online audiences and individuals in real-world settings. However, it’s crucial to consider the regulations of the country. For instance, in India, most car modifications are prohibited by law. If stopped by traffic police, you may face fines and be instructed to reverse the alterations made to your vehicle. Therefore, it’s imperative to first consult your local RTO and familiarize yourself with the legal procedures. Updating your registration certificate (RC) accordingly can preempt any potential issues with the authorities.
