Tork T6X Exclusive (1)

The official testing of Tork T6X has begun on the roads of Pune, where it is currently produced. We expect the bike to be launched soon.

Tork T6X electric bike has been spotted testing on the Indian roads yet again. The clear spy shots reveal further details about the bike, which is most likely to be launched this year.

The electric bike concept was shown at the 2016 Auto Expo. The concept photos show that it looks like a sporty commuter motorcycle, rivaling the likes of 200cc motorycles in India.

Back in 2016, Tork Motors had revealed its prices, at Rs 1.25 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). The company also disclosed that they received 1,000 advance bookings for the electric bike.

With the exclusive news, we also have a clear spy shot of the bike testing again, in Pune. Although covered under camouflage, we get some further details of the electric bike.

Tork T6X gets a 6kW electric motor, that is capable of producing 8 BHP and 27 Nm of peak torque. There will be no manual transmission onboard, instead, there will be a single-speed transmission.

The company claims that the bike will offer a riding range of up to 100 kms. In real world conditions, the range could come down to around 70-80 kms range. T6X is capable of cruising at 100 km/hr.

For braking purposes, Tork T6X uses front and rear disc brakes. No ABS ring/encoder is found on the disc brakes, which means that it will be equipped with CBS. Electric two-wheelers with power figures above 15 BHP must be equipped with ABS.

T6X uses telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. It uses an in-house developed Steel Trellis frame, which makes it a lightweight motorcycle. The sub-frame houses the electric motor, which is covered by the swingarm.

Features onboard include a 4.3-inch TFT display screen with app and cloud connectivity, utility storage, LED headlamps, LED tail lights and different changeable riding modes.

Our price expectations go up to Rs 1.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom). At this price, it will be placed at a competitive price.
