TVS has launched the ‘Commuter of the year’ special edition of the Radeon. It gets some cosmetic upgrades, new colour options and a front disc brake.
TVS has launched the Celebratory Edition of its popular workhorse, Radeon 110 for a price of Rs 52,720 and the disc brake variant goes for Rs 54,820 (ex-showroom Delhi). TVS Radeon is now one of the few 110cc commuters that offer an optional disc brake.
On the TVS Radeon Special Edition, you find some minor tweaks to the styling. There are a new set of decals, chrome rearview mirrors, redesigned thigh grip and a new petrol tank cushion as well.
The new colour options with this one include Chrome Black and Chrome Brown. Otherwise, the commuter is also available in White, Black, Beige, Red, Grey and Purple colour options.
TVS Radeon gets a 110cc DuraLife engine, delivering 8.2 BHP at 7000 RPM and 8.7 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 10 Litres and with our tested 70 kmpl mileage, it gave us nearly 700 kms of riding.
For suspension, it uses telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable twin-shock absorbers at the back. The standard version comes with 130mm drum brakes at both the ends but with the TVS Radeon Special Edition, you can also opt for a front disc brake.
Features onboard the commuter include twin-pod analogue instrument console, USB charger, long cushioned seat, side stand indicator, service indicator, a small luggage rack, LED DRLs and luggage holder on the side.
TVS Radeon is one of the most premium looking commuters in the segment, as it goes against the likes of Hero Splendor Plus, Honda Dream Yuga and Bajaj Platina 110. Its price range starts from Rs 50,070 (ex-showroom Delhi).
