UM Global Motorcycles, one of the latest motorcycle companies in the fast expanding Indian two-wheeler industry, plans to make a rather strong statement at the fast-approaching Auto Expo 2018. The American automaker is planning to come up with a range of new motorcycles that will include a scrambler and a cafe racer. Both of these upcoming UM motorcycles are based on the Renegade platform. Not just this, the company might also come up with the UM Renegade electric bike, which was showcased at the 2017 EICMA last year. Details on the launch are unavailable at the moment, but the company will likely use the Expo to gauge the interest that the new bike will generate among the show-goers.

The UM Renegade Electric bike is powered by a 30 kW electric motor that outputs a maximum power of roughly 50 bhp. This electric motor is sourced from Italian company Tacita Electric Motorcycles. With the Government of India planning to support the launch and the usage of electric vehicles in a huge way, launching this electric motorcycle in India could prove to be really beneficial to the bike maker.

UM Renegade Electric Bike India Launch Price
While the company is yet to let out any details on this bike’s launch date, we are pretty sure that it will use the upcoming Auto Expo as a platform to gauge the interest of show-goers in this electric motorcycle. There are certain rumours which go on to claim that this bike will launch by the end of this year. Prices are expected to fall in the Rs 6 lakh to 7 lakh range.
UM Renegade Electric Bike Specifications
The UM Renegade Electric Bike is built on an all-new platform that will also go on to underpin future electric two-wheelers from the company. Powering the motorcycle is aย 30 kwย electric motor that outputs roughly 50 bhp of maximum power. This motor is sourced from Italian company Tacita Electric Motorcycles. It is claimed that the UM Renegade Electric bike has performance comparable to that of a typical 600cc motorcycle. This electric motor comes mated to a five-speed transmission and is a water-cooled unit. The motorcycle is claimed to have range of 150 KMs on a single charge. There is also a provision of fast charging, wherein the batteries can be charged to 80 percent in just 40 minutes.
