Volkswagen India is looking to boost sales with the launch of a special edition variant. This new variant is called the Volkswagen Poloย ALLSTAR. It features a handful of new features and few cosmetic updates. The special edition Polo has already made it to Volkswagen India’s official website. Since the additions made to the Allstar edition of the Polo are very minor, it costs Rs. 30,000 more than the standard variant. Volkswagen Polo Allstar is priced at Rs. 7.51 lakhs for the petrol and 9.07 lakhs for the diesel variant. The Volkswagen Polo AllStar is now available at select dealerships across India. Volkswagen India seems to have silently rolled out the Polo Allstar edition. According to their official website, the car is now available in most dealerships in North India and West India. With the new special edition, VW will be looking to boost year end sales. Volkswagen recently launched a high-performance version of the Polo called the Polo GTI in India.

There aren’t any changes made to the specifications of the Polo. While the hatchback is expected to get the updated 1.5 L Diesel that does duty on the Ameo, the Allstar edition features the current 1.5 L diesel along with a 1.2 L petrol for now. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual only. The 7-speed DSG automatic is reserved for the more powerful Polo GT TSI.

Volkswagen Polo AllStar Special Edition Exterior Design
Much of the exteriors of the new VW Polo Allstar remain the same as the standard car. The most notable additions include new 15 inch alloy wheels and ‘ALLSTAR’ badging on the b-pillar. Apart from that, there is also a new ‘Blue Silk’ paint shade on offer. This particular colour made its debut on the Ameo. There are no other changes that have been made to the design of the standard Polo. It continues with the same smart looking exterior complete with double barrel headlamps up front. The Polo Allstar edition that is on sale in some other international markets features LED headlamps with daytime running lights and LED taillamps. However, these features a not available in India. We do get the new ‘Linas’ alloy wheels, though.
Volkswagen Polo AllStar Special Edition Interior Design
Even the cabin remains largely unaltered. New additions to the interiors of the Polo Allstar include a front centre armrest with storage space and rear AC vents. Along with that, the special edition Polo also features ‘ALLSTAR’ branding on the scuff plates and metal finish pedals. There is new seat fabric on offer with a contrasting stripe running down the middle. The Polo Allstar continues with the same smart cabin as the standard car. Some of the highlights here are a touchscreen AVN, automatic climate control and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. While the Polo’s cabin scores high in terms of quality, its rear seatย lacks space and the boot isn’t very generous either.
