The Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally Edition has been launched in India for some sport hungry riders. It gets some visual upgrades, tuned for a racing look. The features and engine specs remain the same. The scooter is priced at Rs 57,898 (ex-showroom).
Yamaha is known for its quick acceleration and much sporty look 2 wheelers. The Cygnus and Ray scooters have a good share of the market. The Cygnus Ray recently got a ‘ZR’ version which gave some more features and a lot of heavy graphics. Meanwhile, Ray’s another version, the Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally Edition has launched in India. It gets new colour schemes with some racing elements like fenders and knuckle guards. This one focuses more on the better performance. The scooter is priced at Rs.57,898 (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be available at all authorized Yamaha dealerships from last week of July 2018. Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally Edition Design
The Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally Edition is available in two different colours – Rally Red and Racing Blue. Racing elements of the scooter include a newly designed Wing Style front fairing inspired from Yamaha MT-09, helping as a wind deflector, the new Knuckle Guard protects from windblasts on the handle grip and the movable front fender protects from mud splatter. Alongside features, the Rally Edition also gets detailed graphics, derived from Yamaha’s Rally Edition bikes.

The features of the scooter include sharp, sporty mirrors, easy-to-use power’ settings and a fully digital meter. The basic features of the scooter include large under seat storage room of 21 litres capacity, a front pocket enough and Key Shutter Locking System.
Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally Edition Engine
The scooter runs on an air-cooled, SOHC, 113cc engine with a CVT unit. The engine produces 7 BHP of power and 8.1 Nm of torque. The fuel tank capacity of the scooter is 5.2 Litres with a reserve capacity of 1 Litre. The mileage recorded on this scooter is around 55 KMPL with a riding range of around 280 Kms.
Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally Edition Brakes and Suspension
The telescopic front suspension and the unit swing suspension in the back are used on the scooter. Additionally, it gets a 170mm disc brake in the front. Very few 110cc scooters get disc brake options. The scooter weighs relatively lighter at 110 Kgs.
Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally Edition Competiton
Currently, its other contenders in the 110cc segment include Activa Dio, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Let’s and Hero Maestro. Although, the biggest player in this segment is the Activa 5G, but it lacks on graphics and is a plainly clothed scooter.
