The BMW Z4 is one of the few cars in India which combine the fun of top down driving and sportiness. It is the latest iteration of a long line of iconic roadsters from the company like the Z1, Z3, Z8 etc. BMW first launched the Z4 in India in 2010 and has been fighting it out against the Mercedes-Benz SLK and the Porsche Boxster. BMW had earlier this year given the Z4 a mid-life refresh, and has announced that the 2014 BMW Z4 Roadster will be launched in India on 14th November.
All manufacturers, especially in the luxury segment are gearing up with launches this time of the year and BMW after having ย launched the 1-Series Hatchback, and upgraded the 5-Series sedan in India is looking to attract more customers with the updated Z4 Roadster. When launched in 2010, the BMW Z4 replaced the Z3, introducing a foldable hardtop, a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, totally new interior design etc. The facelift gives the car subtle refresh in terms of exterior and interior design and that’s it.

The car doesn’t look very different from it’s predecessor, it will take a trained eye to make out the changes. To mark a few changes, you will get to see LED equipped headlamps, a completely reworked front bumper and indicators have been redone and gorgeous alloy wheels have been added. The car will also get new paint options, including the orange option you see in the photos above. To add to the visual effect, a new contrasting roof colour option can be availed with the aluminum made foldable roof. It takes mere 20 seconds to retract the roof. Going further with the exterior, you will find a distinctive design for bonnet and possibly aย kidney grille.
