Jeep launched the BS6 compliant Compass in the country earlier this month. Prices for the BS6 Jeep Compass starts from Rs 16.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 27.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Both the 1.4L petrol and the 2.0L diesel Multijet engines in the Compass have been updated to meet the BS6 norms. While Jeep had only announced the hike in prices with each of the engines, the company hadn’t revealed the exact variant-wise price break up. Until now, of course. Here’s a detailed price list of the BS6 Jeep Compass.

Jeep claims that neither the petrol nor the diesel engine has seen any change in terms of specifications or configurations. That means the 2.0 liter turbocharged Multijet diesel engine continues to produces 173 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. As for the 1.4 liter petrol engine, it also continues to produce 163 bhp and 250 Nm of torque as before. The petrol engine either comes mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The diesel engines gets either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic gearbox. There’s four-wheel drive only with the 9-speed automatic gearbox on the Compass.

Rivals for the Jeep Compass include the top-spec variants of the Tata Harrier, MG Hector and Kia Seltos and also the upcoming Skoda Karoq,ย Volkswagen T-ROC. It must be mentioned that the Compass is at a slight advantage when compared to Skoda and VW as both European SUVs will be available with a petrol engine only.ย
