Force Motors is all set to launch a new 5-door Gurkha with a 4×2 drive layout. Now. it has been spotted on the road.
The Force Gurkha is one of the few affordable off-roading vehicles. It is a direct rival of the Mahindra Thar. The highlights of the lifestyle SUV include a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, a 7-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plenty of storage areas, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Speed Sensing Door Locks, and a suspension system with a 4×4 system. Now, a new 5-door Gurkha with a 4×2 drive layout has been spotted on the road. Let’s take a look!

As you can see in the image above, the upcoming Force Gurkha comes with rugged-looking wheels with much beefier tires. The wheelbase is around 2.8 meters (around 400mm longer than the regular Gurkha). The new car is based on the stretched version of the brand’s C-platform. It comes with a revised front fascia. The spotted SUV might be the top-spec model. The Force Gurkha 5-door is likely to be offered in multiple variants (4×4 and 4×2 drive layouts).
The Force Gurkha LWB is likely to be powered by the same Mercedes-sourced 2.6-liter diesel engine (similar to the regular 3-door model) that produces 91bhp and 250Nm of torque. For transmission, it is likely to come with a 5-speed gearbox as standard. The 5-door Force Gurkha LWB variant will come with multiple seating configurations – 6 and 7-seat layouts. The lower-spec variants will come with a 4×2 drive layout.

Currently, the Force Gurkha is priced at Rs 14.1 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is powered by a 2.6-liter diesel (90PS/250Nm) that is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel drivetrain. The SUV comes with a low-range transfer case and manual locking differentials as standard. Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors. Additional features include a manual AC, a four-speaker sound system, and front power windows.
