Independence Day celebrations were in full swing all across the country but some people showed us how NOT to celebrate this special occasion.

We have seen a lot of video clips of some careless drivers on the occasion of this Independence Day. Unfortunately, on the events of special days, people take their vehicles out and take it as an excuse to drive carelessly on the streets. That is also the reason why our roads are considered to be some of the most dangerous in the world. Previously, we had reported an XUV700 driver leaving the vehicle on Auto-Pilot and raising the flag out of the sunroof jeopardizing the safety of himself and everyone around him. Below, you can see some careless road-users in Kia Sonet and Maruti Ritz risking their safety as well as those of other road users in the name of patriotism.

Maruti Ritz and Kia Sonet Users Violate Traffic Laws

Here is yet another one of these videos where drivers are seen flouting rules and regulations and putting everyone’s lives in danger. The video clip has been shared by Nitin Banerjee on his Twitter handle. In the video, a Kia Sonet and a Maruti Ritz are seen being driven recklessly on the busy roads of Delhi. The Kia Sonet has a person sitting on the window while holding the national flag. The driver is driving aggressively despite being on a quite crowded street. The driver is also seen changing lanes without watching the rear-view mirror since the passenger is blocking it.

Right next to it is a Maruti Ritz. Its passenger is hanging out of the window of the moving car too. These are the visuals of Independence Day in Delhi. It looks like these people search for excuses to drive this violently. That is precisely the reason that makes our roads so dangerous. Such reckless driving and overspeeding are the main causes of accidents in India. We lose thousands of lives every year due to such behaviour.

We would like to advise our valuable readers to maintain traffic flow and follow the traffic rules and regulations. Most importantly, make sure to avoid overspeeding at all costs. If you are driving slowly, then there is a chance to grab hold of the situation even if someone else is at fault. But if everyone is driving at high speeds, the consequences are only going to be lethal. Also, make sure to raise awareness regarding the same. What are your thoughts about these stupid drivers?
