Man Rips Apart a Newly Constructed Rs 3.8 Crore Road in UP

It has become common knowledge that the quality of construction materials used in making roads is not the best in our country.

In a shocking incident, a man rips apart a newly constructed road with his bare hands in Uttar Pradesh. To construct this road, Rs 3.8 Crore was spent. It is simply shocking to see the condition of the materials being used to construct roads in our country. That is precisely the reason why the local city roads are damaged so easily, especially during the monsoon season. Water is able to wash away the roads easily because of the poor quality of the materials used. Here are the details of this entire incident.

Man Rips Apart Road With His Hands

The post has been shared on Twitter by a certain Sandeep Singh. In the video clip, a man is seen digging the newly laid road with his bare hands. This is the 7-km road connecting Puranpur with Bhagwantpur village of the Pilibhit district in UP. This road was constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). However, the superficial layer of the bitumen is being torn apart by a local resident with his bare hands without making any effort.

He is heard in the video calling for strict action against the contractor who built this road. The authorities are being blamed for this as there seems to have been either no supervision or complete ignorance. In any case, it is the hard-earned money of the taxpayers that is being wasted like this. Therefore, the people surrounding the man are doing the right thing by exposing this practice and calling for action.

Unfortunately, this is a rather common occurrence in our country. The flimsy and poor-quality materials used for making roads generally get exposed during monsoons and rains. That is the reason why we see so many roads full of potholes and worn-out patches. It is high time that the authorities get rid of the corruption and work toward ensuring that the best quality materials are used in the construction of the roads that will last more than just one year. Do share your thoughts on this.
