This is the first major accident of the Tata Harrier facelift on YouTube. Harrier is a prominent SUV in the portfolio of the Indian auto giant. It has received a full 5-star safety rating at the Bharat NCAP along with its 7-seater sibling, the Safari. Interestingly, this rating is valid for both – Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection. However, there have not been many incidents with the Harrier online just yet. This first major crash reveals the build quality of the SUV in real life. Let’s dive into the details.

Tata Harrier Facelift Accident

This post comes from Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel often posts content around the performances of popular cars during unfortunate incidents, as well as road safety. On this occasion, a case has emerged from Bokaro, Jharkhand. As per the information in the video, a few school students were travelling in the SUV. For some reason, they lost control of the SUV and ended up falling off the bridge at high speed. As per some local onlookers, they were driving quite rashly. Also, we are not sure how school-going students were allowed to drive a car in the first place.

The SUV lands on its roof on the road below the bridge. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured in this crash. The driver suffered minor injuries. Talking about the damage to the SUV, the side pillars are intact. That prevented any damage inside the cabin. That could have been the reason why the passengers didn’t suffer severe injuries. While we can’t judge the build quality of cars on such isolated incidents, still, this is a testament to just how strong it is.
