Mahindra 2-Wheelers has launched a cheaper, entry-level version of the Centuro commuter bike christened the Mahindra Centuro Rockstar. The bike is only available in select cities in the states of Haryana, Gujarat and Rajashtan for now and is expected to be launched phase wise throughout the country with an official announcement being made next week.
Price
The Mahindra Centuro Rockstar is priced at Rs. 44,710 (ex-showroom Ahemdabad) which is around Rs. 6,000 cheaper than the top-end O1 variant (Rs. 50,310) and Rs. 3,000 less than the mid-level N1 variant (Rs. 47,516).
Features
The Mahindra Centuro Rockstar features new ‘Rockstar’ branded decals and retains features like LED pilot lamps, alloy wheels, twin golden ribs, electric start and black finish for the engine.
However, compared to the Centuro O1 variant it misses out on certain feautres like digital dash, remote key fob and anti-theft alarm which has enabled Mahindra to price it slightly lower than the standard Centuro variants.
Powering the Manhindra Centuro Rockstar is the same 106.7-cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that does duty on the Centuro O1 and N1 variants. The engine churns out 8.38 BHP of power and 8.5 Nm of torque and returns a healthy 68.7 KMPL.
COMPETITION
The Mahindra Centuro Rockstar will compete in the commuter bike segment with the likes of Honda Dream Neo, TVS Star City+ and Bajaj Discover 100M.
