Having seeing the competition from various rival car manufacturers like Maruti, Hyundai etc, ย Honda now seems to be in a better position to out do the competition with its facelifted Brio hatchback. Autonetmagzย has revealed aย render of a facelifted Brio. No particular launch dates have been revealed for this Honda Brio Faceliftย version. With successful cars like Honda Amaze and Honda Mobilio, launched one after another, Honda now moves further with facelifted Brio.
This facelift Brio comes with a lot of changes done in the exteriors. It getsย revised bumper, front grille and side skirts. ย Brio’s grille now consists of two chrome bars with ‘H’ sign mounted in the middle. The grille of the car seems to be inspired from Honda Mobilio RS. The alloys of the car also look redesigned giving the car more agile and sportier look. It also gets a black coloured pillars giving the car a floating roof look. These pillars are ย coloured as the same colour as that of the car in the outgoing model of Honda Brio.

On the mechanical front, it is expected to be powered by the same engine as before. The outgoing version of Honda Brio is powered by 4 cylinderย 1198 cc i-VTEC petrol engine, producingย 88 PS of maximum power at 6000 rpm andย 109 Nm of peak torque at 4500 rpm, mated to aย 5 speed transmission. It delivers fuel efficiency of 19.4 km/L with manual transmission andย 16.5 km/L with automatic transmission. It gets 35 litres fuel capacity. The dimensions of tha car are 3610 xย 1680 xย 1500 mm denoting length, width and height respectively. The wheelbase is 2345 mm with 165 mm ground clearance. It is not sure whether the company will introduceย i-DTEC diesel engine in the Brio facelift or not.

This facelifted Brio will compete with Maruti and Hyundai hatchback cars which are comparatively low maintenance cars. Brio facelift version is expected to come with mere cosmetic changes and no major mechanical upgrades. With enhanced exterior look, this superior looking car seems to have the potential to bring good sales to the company. Honda Brio facelift version, if launched in India, is expected to hit dealership by 2015.
