The Gixxer 250 is expected to be powered by a 250cc, twin-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engineย that would come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine could deliver a peak power of as much asย 26 BHPย and a fuel mileage of roughly 30 kmpl. The Gixer250 could be underpinned by a modified version of the Gixxer SF 155’sย single downtube frame. However, safely expect the bike to get an all-new swing arm, a more performance-oriented suspension and better tires. The Gixxer 250, unlike the Gixxer SF 155, won’t get a single-piece handlebar and a straight seat arrangement. Instead, it will get racy clip-on handlebars and a split-seats setup. ย The bike could also offer ABS, at least as an optional extra.

However, the biggest reason behind the success of this bike was its over-optimistic price tag of 3.1 lacs. We now hope that SMIPL has been busy forming a stronger product strategy for the upcoming Gixxer 250.
