Accompanying the high-profile unveiling of the 2017 KTM Duke 390 at the EICMA in Milan in November 2016 was an updated version of its fully faired cousin, the RC 390. While the next generation of the RC series is still more than a year away, KTM has made a few changes to the existing bike. The new 2017 KTM RC 390 India launch took place on January 19. The updated RC 390 costs Rs. 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The old model KTM RC 390 was on sale for about 2.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) with ABS as standard fitment. As expected, prices have gone up by around Rs. 11,000.

KTM has made minor changes to the specifications of the 2017 RC 390. It carries the same 373 cc unit that makes 43 bhp. Torque has gone up by 1 Nm to 36 Nm now. It is also heavier now and features a new swept back 2 stage exhaust. The new RC 390 is BS IV compliant. Other new additions here include a larger 320 mm front disc and a slipper clutch.

2017 KTM RC 390 Design
From the looks of it, the design of the 2017 model remains almost identical to the current model. However, it does get new graphics and colour theme. Black covers a larger portion of the bike. The size of the KTM logo has been reduced, while the RC 390 lettering is more prominent now. For 2017, the RC 390 gets a side mounted exhaust instead of an under belly unit. This is a result of the more stringent Euro IV regulations. Rest of the bike remains largely the same. It features typical KTM styling with a flashy exterior.
