The 2018 Triumph Tiger range is going to include the Tiger 800 and the Tiger 1200. Bookings for these bikes are already underway from January 2018. Both these bikes promise to be a significant improvement over the outgoing models.

Come 21st March and Triumph India will launch the 2018 Tiger Range in India. The 2018 triumph Tiger range will include the Tiger 800 and the Tiger 1200. The bookings for these bikes are already open since the month of January 2018. Both these versions come with a number of updates over the outgoing models.

The Triumph Tiger 800 comes external as well as internal changes. The tourer bike now comes with an improved 800 cc engine. The in-line three-cylinder motor still churns out 94 BHP along with 79 Nm of peak torque. That said, triumph has modified the gearbox so that it offers a shorter first gear. Along with this, the bike is now better in low-speed response, off-road traction and acceleration.

In terms of design, the Triumph Tiger 800 now comes with a restyled front end. The redesigned fascia gives the middleweight adventure-tourer motorcycle an aggressive stance. This feature is further enhanced by the new LED headlamps. Thanks to the modifications, the bike now looks a lot more muscular.

The 2018 iteration of the Triumph Tiger 800 comes with an all-new colour TFT instrument cluster. However, it only comes as standard on the middle and top-spec trims. The base XR variant still has to do with an LCD panel. The bike will be available in a total of five variants. These variants will have different stylesย distributed across a number of themes.

2018 Triumph Tiger 1200

Coming to the Triumph Tiger 1200, this bike will come with the same engine as before. It is the in-line three-cylinder engine which produces 141 BHP along with 121 Nm of peak torque. This engine too features a number of updates over the previous model. These include a lighter Magnesium cam cover, lighter flywheel and crankshaft.ย The top end variant comes with an arrow exhaust.

In terms of features, the Tiger 1200 comes with all-LED lights, new adaptive cornering lights, illuminated switchgear, an adjustable full-colour TFT screen to name a few. The tourer also comes with driver aids such as new driving modes along with hill-hold control. The list further includes cornering ABS, integrated braking system and cruise control.
