The design of the Tata Nexon facelift will be updated according to the new IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy by Tata Motors; to launch in India soon.

For the first time, spy shots of the test mule of the Tata Nexon facelift have surfaced on the internet. Under heavy camouflage, the vehicle seems to retain the current iteration’s exterior design aesthetics. However, there is a reason to believe that the update will see Tata implement the IMPACT 2.0 design language to this sub-4-meter compact SUV.

The Tata Nexon currently stands as the second best selling product for the homegrown automaker in India. The first one being the Tiago compact hatchback. In fact, Tata is also working on a mid-life update for the Tiago as well. And it too is expected to get modifications in sync with the IMPACT 2.0 design language.

Going by the spy shots, it seems that majority of the exterior changes for the Tata Nexon facelift will be concentrated towards the front of the vehicle. These could include a revised headlamps cluster, new grile, new layout for the bumper along with a set of new alloy wheels.

There is a possibility that Tata Motors will also update the interiors of the Nexon. Though the design will remain the same, we are expecting an upgrade for the infotainment system and quality of the materials used.

In terms of its overall feature list, things are expected to remain the same as before. Top-spec variants will continue to come with automatic climate control, steering mounte audio control, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights to name a few.

The engine specifications of the Tata Nexon facelift will also remain the same. The petrol derivative will get a 1.2-litre, turbocharged engine. While the diesel derivative will be plonked in with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. In addition to this, there will be a 6-speed AMT transmission on offer as well.
