The Tata Altroz has been spotted completely undisguised for the first time in India at what seems to be Tata Motors manufacturing plant.

Tata Motors first mid-size premium hatchback, the Altroz, is all set to launch in India soon. The carmaker made the global debut of this vehicle recently at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Based on the all-new ALPHA architecture, this hatchback is going to compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20.

Ahead of its launch, the Altroz has been snapped completely undisguised in India. The vehicle seen in the images seems like a production-ready iteration. And the place seems to be like Tata Motors manufacturing facility. This could mean that the production of this hatchback has commenced already.

The vehicle seen in the images resembles to quite an extent with the one that was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show this year. The only major difference that you can spot is the design of the alloy wheels. For starters they do not bear a dual-tone colour scheme. And they clearly are smaller in size, probably around 16-inch.

Other than this, it is clearly visible that this hatchback comes with a projector lamp set-up. And that they are likely to come with LED lamp instead of halogens. The tail-lights are also going to be LED.

The cabin layout of the production spec Altroz is going to be identical to the one seen at the auto show. The cabin colour scheme could be dual tone in nature. In terms of features, it is going to get a touchsreen infotainment system, part-analogue, part digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control to name a few.

According to recent media reports, the Tata Altroz will get two petrol and one diesel unit. There will be the Tiago’s 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. And there will be the Nexon’s 1.2-litre, turbo-petrol engine in the line-up as well. The diesel engine is likely to be the Nexon’s 1.5-litre motor. Transmission options will include manual as well as automatic alternatives.
