Bajaj Dominar 400 is currently the most powerful Bajaj bike. It is basically a power cruiser. It classifies as a sports bike as well as a cruiser. With its powerful 400cc engine, it competes with the likes of Mahindra Mojo XT 300, Duke 390, Royal Enfield Classic 350 and more such bikes. The bike was launched in December 2016. Though it is not a much-demanded bike but is quite popular in the market. The main reason for its demand being low is because people are not familiar with the concept of premium lifestyle motorcycles.
Now, out of nowhere, the first spy pics of the upgraded Bajaj Dominar 400 has come online. Yes, that’s for real.
The bike already came with so many features and perfect mechanical specs. Like every other vehicle, it needs something new and so this new Dominar is going to launch soon.
Now coming back to the spy pics, Autocar has uploaded them online. The Bajaj Dominar is the picture gets USD front forks, a pseudo-twin exhaust end-can and also a larger-looking radiator.
This means that the performance and the riding dynamics of the Dominar are going to get better. For improving it further, it is likely to get more comfortable while driving at low-speed.
Sadly, other than this, there might be no other changes. Although, there are rumours that a new Bajaj Dominar 200 might also launch in India. You can read about the mini-cruiser here.
There are chances that it might get Duke 390’s DOHC motor and also ride-by-wire throttle system. With these upgrades, the performance at high speeds will get even better. However, unlike the KTM, the Bajaj Dominar is lesser aggressive at low-speeds and it may continue with that ability.
Also, there are chances that the upcoming Dominar might get a BS-VI ready engine. With the upcoming emission norms, most of the other Bajaj bikes are also getting compliant engines.
The last thing that we think might come with the upgraded Dominar, is new colour options.
Currently, it comes with a 373cc liquid-cooled engine. The engine produces 34.5 BHP of power and 35 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The mileage approximated on this bike is around 25 kmpl.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 comes with features such as Split Reverse LCD Display, Auto LED headlamps, Slipper clutch, Fully Digital Instrument Cluster, Dual Channel ABS and tell-tale lights. Also, its main feature is a unique and aggressive looking bodywork.
