Bajaj has launched the Pulsar 220F in a new Volcanic Red colour in India, with the same prices. It is now available in total of three colour options.
Bajaj has revised the colour options of the Pulsar 220F as it now comes in a new Volcanic Red paint job. The other two existing colours include Black with Blue and Blue with Red dual-tone options.
The Pulsar 220F gets the matte red colour on the fuel tank. The front fairing, front fenders, belly pan and the tail portion come with orange and black highlights on the base red colour. t also gets a small orange coloured bordering on the rims.
The prices remain the same at Rs 1.07 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Mechanically, it remains the same and is also equipped with ABS as standard fitment. The new colour model will start reaching dealerships soon.
Pulsar 220F is another old model from Bajaj’s stable and has not been updated much since it was launched in 2010. It is a semi-faired motorcycle with slim body dimensions but a very sporty appeal.
220F uses a 220cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that produces 21 BHP and 19 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox, right from the time it was launched.
For suspension, it uses telescopic forks at the front and gas-charged dual shock absorbers at the back. For braking, it comes equipped with disc brakes at both the ends with a single-channel ABS as standard.
Features onboard the Pulsar 220F include a semi-digital instrument console, vertically stacked projector headlamps, clip-on handlebars, a split seat, split grab rails and a belly pan. Not much has changed in the features list of 220F over the years.
Pulsar 220F now has a new competitor, which is priced cheaper. Hero recently launched the Xtreme 200S, a 200cc fully faired motorcycle, priced at Rs 97,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
In other news related to Bajaj, the manufacturer is going to bring a more affordable Pulsar to India. Bajaj is reportedly launching the Pulsar 125 by the end of this month. It will use the 125cc engine from Discover and will go against the likes of Honda CB Shine and Hero Glamour.
