TVS has launched the BS-6 compliant Apache RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V. The updated bikes get performance upgrades and new features as well.
TVS has kickstarted its BS-6 launches with none other than the Apache RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V. Both the motorcycles now come with fuel-injection as standard fitment and other performance enhancement upgrades as well.
The BS-6 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V rear drum brake variant goes for Rs 99,950 and the Disc brake variant goes for Rs 1.03 Lakhs. The BS-6 RTR 200 4V goes for Rs 1.24 Lakhs (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
The Drum brake variant costs Rs 8,000 more, whereas the disc brake variant is costlier by Rs 3,000. As for the RTR 200 4V, it gets costlier by Rs 10,000. The reason for a major price hike of the drum brake variant is because it only came in the Carburettor variant.
Both the motorcycles continue with the same engine but the power figures have been changed. The BS-6 RTR 160 now produces 16.02 BHP and 14.12 Nm of torque in comparison to the 16.80 BHP and 14.8 Nm of torque from the BS-4 version.
The RTR 200 4V continues with the same power figures, but the torque is down from 18.10 Nm to 16.8 Nm on the BS-6 version. Both the engines continue to be mated to a 5-speed gearbox and the RTR 200 gets the Race-Tuned Slipper Clutch.
Further, both the motorcycles now get Race-Tuned Fuel Injection for better performance. Another upgrade is Glide Through Traffic capability for low-speed urban riding and enables an extremely smooth and controlled ride.
New features onboard include LED headlamps for both, redesigned mirrors and feather touch start. Recently, the Apache RTR 200 4V was launched with the SmartXConnect Bluetooth Speedometer.
RTR 200 4V series is available in two stunning colours namely, Gloss Black and Pearl White. The 160 4V comes in three colours – Racing Red, Metallic Blue and Knight Black. The bookings for both the BS-6 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V have now commenced.
