Jawa 300 Adventure has been spotted beside 300 Classic Roadster. 300 Adventure will lock up horns against Royal Enfield Himalayan, the cheapest ADV bike in India as of now.
As we all know, Jawa Motorcycles is making a comeback in India next week. Ahead of its launch, we got a clear photo of the Jawa 300 Classic Roadster. Now, we have a camouflaged photo of Classic Roadster and most likely Jawa 300 Adventure. Total 4 bikes will be launched together. The list includes a classic roadster, an adventure tourer, a bobber and a cafe racer. So, now we have an idea of 2 out of the 4 bikes. The 300 Adventure will go up against Royal Enfield Himalayan.
There are a couple of details from which we can tell that it might be Jawa 300 Adventure. First of all, it gets upside down telescopic forks with a longer travel. The position of the disc brake has been changed, the bike is a bit taller than Classic and looks like it gets a backrest too.
Similarly, if we see the Himalayan, it also gets a different set of suspension compared to other RE bikes. Also, it is taller than other RE bikes. The placement of front disc brake is Jawa 300 Adventure is similar to Himalayan.
The engine specifications will remain the same. Jawa 300 Adventure will come with a 293cc liquid-cooled engine. The engine puts out 27 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. To be clear, it does not share the engine and platform with Mahindra Mojo. The engine pairs up with a 5-speed gearbox with optimized gear ratios for low-end torque.
Despite being a less powerful bike than Royal Enfield, its figures are better than their 350cc bikes. The top-speed and acceleration figures might be better than RE bikes.
As we have seen the clear photo, we know that it resembles the old Jawa. Heavy chrome inputs, the original maroon colour, split tan seat, spoke wheels and the bulbous fuel tank with Jawa inscription. There are hardly any differences that you would make between both the generations.
The prices are most likely to start off at Rs 1.3 Lakhs or so. Royal Enfield is the leader in premium motorcycles in India. To tackle it, the Jawa bikes must undercut the prices of RE. As of now, Royal Enfield range starts off at Rs 1.37 Lakhs with the Bullet 350.
